A book for anyone whose career disruption shook their identity, confidence, and sense of direction. A journey from rupture to rise - and a guide for rediscovering who you are beyond your job title.
Why I Wrote This Book
Some stories refuse to stay inside you. They sit in your chest like a heartbeat, asking to be heard.
My story was one of them.
After experiencing a career rupture that shook every part of my identity, I began documenting my journey — the collapse, the confusion, the awakening, and the rise. What started as journal entries became a mirror, a companion, and eventually, a message I knew I had to share.
During this time, I conducted a global research study with 1,059 participants, uncovering the emotional patterns and identity shifts people face after career disruption.
The findings were clear:
People don’t just lose jobs — they lose themselves.
This book is my answer to that loss.

Career disruption is no longer rare — it has become a defining experience of our time. Layoffs, restructurings, and sudden job losses are leaving people not just unemployed, but unanchored.
Don’t Chase the Next Role — Awaken the Next You is a deeply personal and powerfully practical guide for navigating the emotional and psychological aftermath of career upheaval.
Through raw storytelling, research‑backed insights, and a transformative new framework, this book helps you:
- understand the emotional impact of career loss
- rebuild confidence and self‑worth
- break free from identity tied only to your job
- reconnect with your inner clarity
- design a future aligned with who you truly are
- rise with purpose, not panic
This is not a book about job hunting. It is a book about self‑reinvention.

This book will not rush you. It will not tell you to “stay positive.” It will not pretend that disruption is easy.
Instead, it will walk with you — through the collapse, the confusion, the awakening, and the rise — until you can finally say:
“I didn’t just survive this. I became someone stronger because of it.”
Your next role is not your destination. Your next self is.
Your future is far bigger than your last job title.
